SIGH. continuation of discussion on ethics. whyyyy is ethics always so shady.

but well. i'm extremely thankful to find out from a senior that most people still respect the patient's wishes. YES. that is SO the way to go. as he said. examining a patient and allowing yourself into his private space is a PRIVILEGE. it's not your right. neither is there such a thing that 'since you're in a public hospital'. no matter how. it is a privilege and that's that. the patient's wishes are always the most impt aren't they.

and no. most ppl do say yes to let you examine them. i admit i'm not alturistic enough to say, 'find me your weakest student. i want to let him examine me to let him learn.' but. i dare say i'm alturistic enough to let medical students touch me.

no matter what your intentions are, it doesn't make it any less wrong. yes, it is slightly better than say, molest or whatever. but still, that doesn't make it right. maybe my choice of words are really strong, and it really isn't that serious. but. well. going against patient's wishes. to me, is wrong. no matter what your intentions are.

sigh. honestly, i'm v tired of arguing why like this and why like that. no matter how, i'm going to stand by my word. and stand by what i believe in. that the patient is to be respected. and if he/she says no, then no it is. i dun care if it's too bad that i dun gain that experience. i think, i gain more than that. more than what that experience can give me.
